I love the Rockwell 6C. It shaves smoothly and I get no razor burn.
I am new to using a safety razor after decades of cartridge razors. After some research I decided to try this set because people rave about Rockwell and the 6C offers the adjustability that I thought would be helpful for a new shaver figuring things out. So far it has been great and this really does get you everything you need as long as you got a spare mug for whipping up a lather. I'd recommend it to any first timer.
This safety razor is so well balanced and you know you're holding something precious in your hand when you pick it up. Shaving your face with this razor simply made me a better shaver. The advantage of having the different plates is very helpful when your first starting out or if you just have one day a growth or 10 days of growth. This huge advantage is very helpful just by bumping up to a higher plate. I haven't found a razor blade that doesn't work in this razor. It is just that good. If you're just starting out or your seasoned wet shaver, this is one must have Razor.
This is my first DE razor shave kit. The razor is excellent. I love the color, weight, and feel. The brush and shave cream work very well. I'm happy with my first few weeks of shaves and find that I'm dialing in my technique.
The different heads that came with the razor make it very versatile.

Consistent, great shave
Coming from the disposable cartridge side of the house, this is the first DE safety razor I’ve owned. Easy to use and felt comfortable in my hand. Will eventually go with the 6S or ever the titanium version.
SInce this is my first safety razor, I can't compare it to others. BUT! I got tired of paying insane prices for Gillette's Turbo Mach 3 blades that just seem to go up in price and down in quality. I couldn't be happier for the switch. I bought Rockwell's full package with the brush, shave lotion, 3 heads (6 settings), and blades, and I'm very satisfied. I started growing my beard for winter so haven't done a full face shave yet with my Rockwell, just above and below the beard. TO SUM IT ALL UP: Great 1st safety razor and I strongly suggest for you to buy the full package as I did. Well worth the extra price! The lotion and brush work better than any big name store bought shaving cream I've ever used! That's about 40 years experience. And you don't need but a dab.
