Rockwell 2/4 Plate - White Chrome

Having sensitive skin the #1/#3 plate was not aggressive enough using the #1 side. I needed just a little a little more and decided that the #2/#4 plate would work on the #2 side. It was just what I needed. It works great without nicks or razor burn. I find my Rockwell razor to be far superior to the razor I was using.

I purchased the Rockwell 2c learned to shave on the 1 plate then graduated to the 3 plate. DFS but got the 2/4 plate for more efficiency. The 4 plate is my sweet spot. Very smooth efficient shave. I call this my Rockwell 4c. This is my cure for FOMO and RAD. There may be a better smoother razor out there but at what cost for the results. No more worshipping at the alter of Wonderanium razors with Angstrom tolerances created by heavenly inspired machinists. Plus it’s shiny chrome. And IBF (International Brotherhood of Freeloaders) approved at 18 bucks.

Rockwell 2/4 Plate - White Chrome

Received my order a little later than expected thanks to USPS but the wait was worth it. I bought the cheaper C2 so I upgraded to the 2/4 plate and it's the sweet spot I was looking for. I already have the C6 so I have one for the house and one for travel. If you want to get started with wet shaving I highly recommend either one.

The Rockwell method of setting the aggressiveness of their razors by using different machined plates is dead solid, absolutely consistent from blade to blade and perfectly accurate. I should have ordered the razor with three plates but only ordered it with a 1/3 plate. I found the #3 not aggressive enough and ordered a 2/4 plate. I found the #4 more aggressive than the #3 but still not so aggressive that I got razor burn or nicks. I would be happier with a #5 plate but can live with the #4. My two biggest gripes about my Rockwell razor are the handle, which I feel is about 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch too short and the fact that the top plate leaves a little bit of razor blade exposed on the ends making it possible to scratch yourself. I have. Its a good system but I can only give it 4 out of 5 stars for the reasons listed.

I use the 4 plate for a daily one pass shave. Saves some time over the 3 plate, which was basically a “1.5 pass” for me.

I bought a 2C razor with the 1/3 plate, and the 3 was not quite aggressive enough. I love the finish, quality and hand feel of the razor so I bought a 2/4 plate, and the 4 is just right, perfect...love it. Smooth, close shave, no nicks.
