Great razor, quality and easy too use
I have used cartridge blades for several decades but decided to switch back to a safety razor after reading an article in the Globe and Mail about plastic waste. I made the mistake of ordering from a US source, experiencing a wait time of over 2 weeks, 8 days spent in customs, uncomfortable customs fees subsequently, my total cost being about 200 Canadian.
Returning to a heavy safety razor after using cartridges is a learning experience. Everything seems awkward. My shave was not as close and took almost twice as long although I expect there will be some improvement over the next few weeks. The shaving soap smells wonderful.
Overall, I am glad that I made the switch back to a safety razor and feel that this is a fairly good manufacturer. The razor looks functionally beautiful and and I like the mat finish. In retrospect, I should have used a Canadian supplier.
First time using shave soap opposed to cream. Scent is great. And I barley have to lather to get a rich creamy lather. Great product
The wooden handle feels good in my hand, and was lighter than I thought it would be. I was mildly concerned that the bristles might come out easily, but that's not the case. The synthetic bristles are stiff, but not unpleasantly so. I'm very happy with this brush.
The soap definitely smells good and lathers up nicely as well. Not too much else to really say, other than it gets the job done.
